Energy is the lifeblood of every production. That's why we're proud to be an official Television Craft Partner of BAFTA for a second year running.
From keeping the lights on in the studio to making sure the kettle works in the post-production house – energy is the lifeblood of every film and TV production. We will be celebrating this as a partner of this month’s BAFTA TV Craft Awards.
Our mission is to end fossil fuels across all industries – and the world of film & TV production is no different – but we also know that balancing our reliance on power with the need to make sustainable choices can be challenging. That is why we want to celebrate the green pioneers showcasing another way for the sector that are being recognised at the BAFTA TV Craft Awards.
It is also why we have a deep-lying partnership with BAFTA to jointly champion sustainability and green practice in production. As well as supporting the Academy’s TV Craft Awards for the second consecutive year, we collaborate on industry initiatives like the Creative Energy Scheme.
The Creative Energy Scheme is a BAFTA albert initiative designed to allow those working in the creative industries access to renewable electricity at an affordable rate. It uses the ‘basket’ model, meaning that participants can use their combined purchasing power to access competitive energy rates.
For more information on the Creative Energy Scheme, email ces@ecotricity.co.uk or visit Creative Energy - albert.
Beyond the Creative Energy Scheme, we are also pioneering the end-to-end solutions that will help the film and TV industry embrace green energy. These include the Grid Faeries batteries and feeder pillars in London's Victoria Park.
