Ecotricity against fracking
Fracking is the most unpopular form of energy ever – and we’re doing everything we can to stop it. Working with the British Journal of Photography, we’ve commissioned photographer Rhiannon Adam to capture the reality of the fight against fracking on the frontline in Fractured Stories.
We've always opposed fracking, and we’ve provided help to anti-fracking groups across Britain. We’ve also set up the People Power Fund to support the activists fighting fracking on the front line. That means every penny in the fund will go directly to anti-fracking groups in Britain.
And for every person who switches their energy supply to Ecotricity using our People Power code, we’ll make a £60 donation directly into the fund.
Four of the Big Six energy companies are either investing in or supporting fracking in Britain - which means that 6 out of 10 people are funding fracking simply by paying their energy bills.
Fracking is a dirty business, and by stopping it now, Britain can choose a greener form of gas made from a simple, renewable source – grass.
