Dale was one of a number of public figures to encourage people to take on the seven-day vegan challenge, alongside Green Party co-leaders Caroline Lucas and Jonathan Bartley, Benjamin Zephaniah and former Australia cricketer Jason Gillespie.
Last year, the 11,500 participants who took part saved the same amount of carbon dioxide as flying to the moon and back.
