Being vegan isn’t just about eating animal free foods – it’s a lifestyle. It’s important to think about what you’re buying, and where it comes from in every part of your life.

That could range from buying ethically made clothing, to cleaning products and cruelty-free cosmetics.

As part of World Vegan Month, Beth from our Social Media Team gives us a roundup of her top three vegan hand creams to help you keep your mitts moisturised as we enter winter.

    Lush – Charity Pot
    RRP £3.75 for 45g
    Buy it here

Charity Pot is a great all round body moisturiser. With a glossy, thick constancy – a little goes a long way with this stuff! Packed with six different oils including rosewood and jojoba, it leaves your skin feeling soft and hydrated for hours! It can make your hands feel a bit greasy, but it’s ideal for applying just before bed so you can wake up with beautifully hydrated hands. The best bit about Charity Pot – Lush donates 100% of the price to small, grassroots organisations. Awesome.

    Human+Kind Hand 3 in 1
    RRP £3.48 for 50ml
    Buy it here

This hand cream smells AMAZING. The fresh, spa-like aroma mixed with the soft and silky feeling of this moisturiser gives you the perfect excuse to take five and pamper your hands. It soaks in really quickly and leaves hands feeling and looking visibly smoother. Also, great on elbows and other dry patches too - an absolute hit in our office.

    Soap & Glory Hand Food
    RRP £2.50 for 50ml
    Buy it here

Soap & Glory are a high-street brand with a huge number of vegan products. Their hand cream is a staple in my stocking every Christmas. Similarly to the Human+Kind cream, this gem smells delicious. The packaging is bright and eye catching and looks great on your desk or by your sink at home. I wouldn’t use this one on skin that’s very dry and chapped as it could sting a little, but if you’re after a great hand cream with a sweet and juicy smell to lift your spirits then this is one for you.
