Being green isn’t a tick box exercise for us – it's at the heart of what we do here at Ecotricity. Almost 30 years ago we started out with just one windmill – and now we have 74 windmills across 24 wind parks, as well as four sun parks and one green gasmill. But we’re not done yet.
We’re proud to announce that we’ve been named a Which? Eco Provider for the fourth year running. This is a huge achievement, and we're thrilled to be recognised again for our mission for a greener Britain.
“Which? research shows some energy firms are doing much more than others when it comes to sustainability - with the top-ranked providers leading the way in areas like generating renewable power and helping customers cut their greenhouse gas emissions.” - Emily Seymour, Which? Energy Editor
What makes an energy company ‘green’?
Ever since we delivered 100% renewable electricity to our first customer in 1996, we’ve been proud to be Britain’s greenest energy company.
Almost 30 years on, there are a lot of energy companies out there who claim to offer green energy. But do their claims hold water? Who’s telling the truth and who’s greenwashing? And how can you tell?
The facts speak for themselves.
We’re proud to have been named a Which? Eco Provider.
We’ve built 24 wind parks all over the country, which are home to 74 beautiful windmills, as well as sun parks utilising the latest bifacial panels. And we’re always planning more, as fast as possible.
We’re the only energy company in the world certified as vegan and our green gasmills will soon be busy making sustainable gas from grass.
When you’re with us, every penny of your bill makes a difference in building new forms of green energy. You’ll help us make fossil fuels a thing of the past.
Switch to Ecotricity today and we’ll turn your bills into mills.
