EcoFlex: How do I set up my battery for EcoFlex?
You should have now downloaded your app and logged in with your email address and the password we provided. Please remember to change your password once you log in for the first time.
Set-up steps:
Step 1
Select the Devices tab on EcoFlex
Step 2
Choose the option that matches your battery: GivEnergy or FoxESS
Step 3
Tell us about your home
Step 4
You will be directed to your battery manufacturer’s website to log in to your account
Step 5
Give authorisation for EcoFlex to access your battery account
Step 6
Sit tight while we connect with your battery.
After you’re onboarded, it’s important not to change settings in your FoxESS or GivEnergy battery apps, as this may interfere with EcoFlex.
Follow the steps below to get your battery ready:
GivEnergy
Online
Go to the GivEnergy Monitoring Portal and sign in
On the dashboard, select My Inverter
Open System Mode Settings
Disable any Timed Charge / Timed Discharge / Timed Export schedules, then Save.
App
Open the GivEnergy app
Go to Battery Settings
Turn off any scheduled charging controls (e.g. Start/End Time timed charging), then Save.
FoxESS (This refers to Fox ESS cloud v2)
Log in to the FoxESS Cloud online portal
On the Dashboard page, go to Quick Settings and open Work Mode or Operation Mode
Set Mode to Self-Use or Self-Consumption (this label may vary)
Now open Time of Use, Schedule or Charge/Discharge Settings and ensure there are no active charge or discharge time periods
Turn off any Timed Charge, Timed Discharge or Export-priority modes.
