image - photomontage of proposed wind park

Galsworthy Wind Park

6th March 2008

This one went to committee last week and was refused over an objection from Natural England.

"This is a crazy situation. Natural England told us and the Council that they would withdraw their objection if we moved one of the turbines. But the council refused to give us opportunity to change our application because they wanted to hit their targets for making decisions on time - even if it's the wrong decision!" said Dale Vince.

With spectacular waste of time and money we now have to take this to appeal.

"We're used to huge delays with projects - something like 8% of applications get decided on time. It's utter madness that in the one case fixable with a few extra weeks grace we're turned down because of a deadline". Dale Vince
