Planning refused by South Somerset

A planning meeting was held in Wincanton on Tuesday 9th March for the committee to make its final decision. In front of a packed hall of protestors, the councillors voted six to two against the proposed project.

If approved, Symphony Farm wind park would have generated over 10 million units of new green electricity each year - enough to power over 3,000 local homes (4.7% of all households in South Somerset District).
