Open day to discuss wind plans

Green electricity supplier and wind farm developer Ecotricity is inviting the public to an open day to see its proposals for two 2MW wind turbines at Symphony Farm, near Cucklington, Somerset.

The company will display plans and photomontages of the wind park between 10.30am - 7.30pm on Monday October 6th at Cucklington Village Hall. Ecotricity staff and a representative from South Somerset District Council will be on hand to answer queries.

The proposed development will generate enough electricity for over 3,000 homes or 4.7% of South Somerset District's domestic electricity needs.

Dale Vince, Managing Director of Ecotricity said: "This open day's a great opportunity for us to meet local people, show them what we're planning and discuss any issues they may have. We'd encourage anyone with an interest to come and visit us and we're open until early evening to be able to meet people after work."
