Combatting climate change with a single switch to Ecotricity - Mass market green electricity now available

The greatest contributor to climate change is carbon dioxide emissions - the main culprit being conventional electricity which accounts for 30% of carbon dioxide emissions in this country. Wind power is the safest, cleanest and most economic form of electricity around although there are still many myths connected with building wind turbines. Modern wind turbines are extremely quiet and are designed to blend in with the surrounding landscape. A MORI poll carried out last year revealed that nine out of ten tourists visiting some of Scotland's top beauty spots said that the presence of wind farms made no difference to the enjoyment of their holiday and twice as many people would return to an area because of the presence of a wind farm than would stay away.
