Abseiling for Cancer Research

The sun shone on Saturday (31st May) as one hundred and seventy brave people from Norfolk abseiled a staggering 220ft down the Ecotricity wind turbine in Swaffham.

The first brave soul down on the day, was cancer survivor, Mr Martin Alderton from Hingham. His family watched from the base as he fearlessly zipped down the turbine.

Mr Dale Vince, Managing Director of Ecotricity also took part in the event. "We are delighted that our dedication to building new sources of green energy has directly helped Cancer Research to raise vital funds. The event was a great success and has helped to increase awareness for both organisations."
