For every pound our customers spend with us on their electricity, we spend another pound building new sources of green electricity. We like to think of it as ‘turning electricity bills into windmills′. And the more customers we have the more we can build - it’s that simple.

Our policy (and our promise) is to price match the Big Six for their standard ‘brown’ electricity. Most people are still with the regional supplier (one of the Big Six) and so switching to Ecotricity won’t cost a penny more. If you’ve switched to a cheaper deal though, we will cost a little more - we can’t price match the price cutters and keep building.

There are two. Our main tariff is New Energy, dedicated to new build, this is the greenest tariff in the UK bar none - and price matched to the Big Six. We also offer New Energy Plus for people that want a 100% green supply now, while we build more.
