Cardiff, Wales

Our first Welsh wind turbine – generating 100% green energy for Cardiff.

Originally used to power the development of high-tech solar panels, when the factory closed, the Welsh Assembly Government decided that the 4.3 million kWh of green electricity the windmill produces could be used by Pinewood Studio Wales complex with contained stages, backlot, production office space, with any excess being exported to the local grid.

Pinewood Studios ended their agreement with the Welsh government to use the studio complex on 31 March 2020 and we are now looking into new options for the use of the wind power generated by this fantastic windmill.
