It’s not just music from around the world at WOMAD, there’s also food from every corner of the globe. A whole host of food vendors will be offering a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options. And while there are too many to list them all, here’s a taste of what you can expect.

    Tibetan Kitchen

Authentic Tibetan style food from the foothills of the Himalayas. There are an abundance of mouth-watering dishes, such as organic tofu strips stir fried with green beans and mushrooms, or chickpea and spinach curry. You can also try the plant-based version of Tibet’s most famous dish, momos. Hearty steamed dumplings that can also be deep fried or cooked in a broth.

    Flavours of Africa

This family run business aims to bring Nigerian cuisine to every home in the UK. Yams, black-eyed beans and plantain are just some of the great ingredients that go into their dishes, and with a simple menu their food retains its authenticity and deliciousness. Look out for their famous jollef rice recipe – passed down from the family grandma!

    Dosa Deli

Their aim is to show how we can eat more vegetables and less meat, while still keeping flavours fresh and tasty. Experimenting with flavours from the countries they’ve travelled to, Dosa Deli serve up South Indian dishes and dosas, a type of pancake. Samosas, bhajis and the delicious sounding Mangalore banana buns. It’s simply delicious street food.

    Teabag Chihuahua

Mexican food is their passion - providing tasty, uncomplicated and wholesome dishes, with additional recipes inspired by Native American, Southern barbecue and Latin influences. They have chillies, burritos, tacos and nachos, all made from fair-trade, locally grown, organic products.

    Chai Shop Organic

Committed to producing the best quality organic, fair-trade vegetarian food with minimum impact on the earth. All their food is freshly made from scratch each day and their famous Chai is made by their own Master Chai Wallah. What’s even more impressive is that their falafels are made using chickpeas minced onsite in their bicycle powered mincer. That’s great food powered by 100% green energy.
