A turbine being constructed at Swaffham

Up until this year we’d supplied only businesses – large and small, but not homes. But finally we were ready and able to supply our Green Electricity to homes anywhere in Britain. It was an important move for us, as the opportunity to involve everyone in the Green Energy Revolution was something we felt was essential to bring about change. It was great to finally be able to do that.

By the end of this first year we supplied just over 3,000 homes; a great start. We also built our second turbine in Swaffham. And crucially we built it at the request of the local people, who liked the first one so much they actually asked us to build another. That’s our idea of sustainable development – building windmills that are such good neighbours…

Total windmills installed: 6

Homes powered (equiv): 2,699
