Hendraburnick, Cornwall

Four beautiful turbines for Cornwall

We have submitted a planning application to construct four turbines at Hendraburnick, near Davidstow, Cornwall.

These turbines will generate enough green energy to power an estimated 9,000 homes, twice that generated currently by the ten turbines at Delabole.

The UK urgently needs to change where our energy comes from, and the concrete benefits of this groundbreaking project include the saving of the annual emission of over 30,000 tonnes of carbon.

This site in the north of Cornwall is currently in the planning system. The application has been delayed due to an objection from National Air Traffic Services and the potential impact upon some of their infrastructure. Once this impact has been assessed, we can move on with the application.

We could have four beautiful turbines at Hendraburnick, and we think the argument for their construction is pretty compelling.

We use the best wind turbine technology. Our machines have no gearbox and operate at different speeds according to the prevailing windspeed. These features make for quieter, more productive and more aesthetic projects.

The reality of climate change is firmly established and the latest evidence from the IPCC, the world's leading authority on the problem, shows the probability is we will experience the very worst predicted effects of global climate change, and sooner rather than later.

The single biggest thing we can all do is change where our electricity comes from, how it is made. And we need to act now! Wind power is an essential part of the solution.

The UK urgently needs to change where our energy comes from, and the concrete benefits of this groundbreaking project include the saving of the annual emission of over 30,000 tonnes of carbon.
