Fen Farm, Lincolnshire

Our biggest wind park yet

Twenty of our smaller, super elegant windmills in the Lincolnshire Fens – producing enough green electricity each year to power about 13,000 local homes. That’s 23% of the homes in this district.

The same district as our Mablethorpe and Bambers sites in fact and between them all we’re producing enough green electricity to power 40% of the homes in East Lyndsey.

And this is power without any pollution, from an energy source that we simply cannot exhaust. It surely doesn’t get any more compelling than this.

Even so it took nearly six years, several planning applications and appeals, much hard work and heartache – until we were finally given the go ahead to build this one.

We reckon we could have got planning permission to build a nuclear power station more quickly with less effort and less cost.

That’s an absurd situation.
