 The UK Government is committed to translating national
targets to the local level:
The Regional Planning Guidance for the South West (RPG 10) sets a target for 11-15% of the region's electricity to be generated from renewable sources by 2010 .
The Regional Renewable Energy Strategy for the South West of England is based on this and has determined a target of 253MW of onshore wind capacity to be operational by 2010.
The Inner Farm project would create an installed capacity of 10MW, meeting 4.0% of the regional target for the South West NOW. |
