The aesthetics of a wind turbine is a divisive and highly
subjective issue. Some people find them unacceptably
intrusive whilst others see them as graceful structures
of civil pride.
Whether you love them or hate them, wind turbines are
no different from other tall manmade structures,
such as electricity pylons.
We don't find opposition to pylons because they are
accepted as part of the landscape. Turbines
should be viewed in this context.
Climate change – unless tackled effectively now – will
have a far more severe and widespread impact on the
landscape than wind farms.
