The winds of change

January’s edition of Cotswold Life magazine devoted its front cover and main article to the issue of wind turbines, as we currently have a proposal for a wind park in Berkeley Vale in Gloucestershire, just outside the Cotswolds AONB.

The article looked at both side of the argument, including the issues and myths that surround the wind energy debate. Our MD Dale Vince gave an impassioned interview putting the case for wind energy, and Cotswold Life readers seem to agree. At the time of writing, 62% answered yes to a poll on its website that asked, ‘Should wind farms be allowed in and around the Cotswolds AONB?’. Impressive stuff for an area more usually associated with comfortable rural idyll and exclusive country piles.
