Visitors to Earls Court on 15th-16th October can find out about clean, renewable sources of energy at Ecotricity's stand, watch a wind turbine being built in 30 seconds, and even see a working model wind turbine.

Guests will also be able to sign up to Ecotricity's new home supply service, which is available at the same price as conventional electricity.

Ecotricity was established in 1996 with a mission to bring about significant environmental improvement. Conventional electricity is the UK's biggest contributor to climate change and Ecotricity is doing something about it, by building new clean sources of electricity that don't pollute and won't run out. Business customers include The Co-operative Bank, The Body Shop and WWF-UK, and for the first time ever this year domestic electricity customers can power their homes with Ecoricity.

Through its wind energy building programme Ecotricity is installing new wind turbines across the UK to generate clean electricity for its customers. Responsible for some of the country's most exciting 'firsts' in wind energy development, Ecotricity built a 65m high turbine, at the Ecotech centre in Swaffham, Norfolk, which powers over 1000 local homes and incorporates a unique visitor platform facility, reached by climbing a 300 step spiral staircase.

Ecotricity's most recent innovation is Merchant Wind Power, an initiative that enables organisations to have their own wind turbine, situated on or off their premises. Built, owned and operated by Ecotricity, there is no investment cost or risk to the customer and in the long term the electricity generated costs less than conventional electricity. In return, all Ecotricity require is a commitment to purchase the power. The first Merchant Wind Power project was built for Sainsbury's last year, and plans for the second project, to be built at Ford's Dagenham Car Assembly estate - London's First wind park - have just been announced.
