This Enercon E40 / 600kW wind turbine was our first Merchant Wind Power project, built for Sainsbury's to power its East Kilbride Distribution Depot in 2001. The 1.9 million units of electricity produced is almost half of the electricity required to power the cold storage depot, which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
