Michael Meacher MP, Minister for the Environment, officially opened the Ecotricity Wind Turbine at the Ecotech Centre in Swaffham, Norfolk in July 1999. The turbine features a unique public viewing platform, reached by a 300 step staircase. Over 50,000 people have already climbed the turbine.
