In what is a global first in sporting history, ecotricity and Manchester City Football Club, have teamed up to unveil what must be football’s biggest signing yet, an 85-metre wind turbine.
The SportCity Wind Turbine project will single out the stadium as the only sporting arena in the world to have its own green energy supply. Planning consent for the project will be sought in the autumn.
