This is the current balance of your account.
This is a summary of how your bill has been calculated. This shows the total number of units you have used and the unit price at which you have been charged. This will also show the details of any price changes that may have occurred within the period covered by this Bill, along with any discounts and the VAT.
We match the prices of each regional supplier (known collectively sometimes as the Big Six). Some of them include a standing charge to cover things like meter replacement and meter reading costs, whilst others cover these costs by charging more for the first certain number of units user per year.
If your regional supplier uses the latter system then you will see a higher rate for the first so many units, (usually 1000, 900 or 728 units per year depending on your regional supplier), this higher rate is spread evenly over the year. It’s important to know that you don’t lose out through the standing charge being applied in this way (rather than as an actual standing charge), it’s just that one way you see the standing charge and the other way it’s less obvious.
Some of the Big Six do it one way and some the other. Since we match their prices exactly we also match their approach to standing charges.
This shows all of the financial transactions that have taken place on your account since your previous Bill. It includes the previous balance of your account, the amount of this Bill, and any payments and refunds that have been made all of which lead to the Current Balance of your account which is shown here.
These are the readings we have used to produce this Bill. You will see a Previous and Current meter reading and the total number of units used (which is the sum of deducting the Previous reading from the Current one). If you have a 2 rate meter (Economy 7 tariff) there will be 2 lines displayed here, one for your day and one for your night usage.
The meter readings are annotated to show where the read originated. Here's a list of these annotations with a brief explanation:
Actual - a reading supplied to us by another supplier
Customer - a reading you have taken
Estimated - a reading estimated based on your previous consumption history
Agent - a reading taken by our agent
Special - a reading taken by our agent during a special visit
Final - a final read for a meter that was removed
Initial - a first reading from a new meter
Prepayment - a reading received for a prepayment meter
Modified - a reading that has been modified by our agent
COT - a reading for a change of occupier in your property

Here you will see your Ecotricity account number, the tariff you are on and your supply address.
If you experience a power cut, this is the number you need to call to report it. It is the number of the local network operator, the people responsible for the local network that delivers power to your home (or business). It is not our number, we don't operate the local network.
This graph shows your daily consumption of electricity. The first column shows it for the period of this Bill, the second shows it for the period of your last Bill and the third column shows your daily consumption for the same period last year (as this Bill).
This number is unique to your electricity supply, it's the number used to identify you within the 'electricity system'. This is not the same as your meter serial number which is printed on your meter.
Nobody particularly likes electricity bills, but it's worse when they're hard to understand. So we’ve tried to make ours as straight forward as possible and we created this guide to explain each section of it.
Just hover your mouse over the area of the bill you'd like to know more about.
We've created a number of hotlines that will get you straight through to the right person, whatever your query. We’re open 8:30-5:30, Monday to Friday.
