Tussaud Group's Air Ride at Alton TowersThe UK's first green electricity company, Ecotricity, is helping Europe's leading visitor attraction company, The Tussauds Group, to improve its environmental impact this month by supplying wind generated electricity to some of the Groups sites at Warwick Castle, Alton Towers and Chessington World of Adventures.

Ecotricity founded the UK's green electricity market in 1996 in pursuit of its mission to reduce the threat of climate change. And it is still the only licensed electricity company dedicated to building urgently needed new green energy capacity to replace conventional polluting sources of electricity. Tussauds' switch to Ecotricity is part of the Group's environmental agenda and will enable Ecotricity to build more new wind turbines.

Dale Vince, Managing Director of Ecotricity explains, "We have a firm commitment to creating new green energy which is the only way to make a difference in the face of increasing climate change. Like all our customers, Tussauds are helping us to do this."

Nigel Elliot of The Tussauds Group comments, "We are delighted to take this opportunity of working with Ecotricity through their supply of green electricity and we will watch the growing developments with interest."

Ecotricity is offering homeowners the opportunity to switch to green electricity taken from renewable energy sources, at no extra cost to themselves. As an independent company, all its profits are ploughed back into building wind energy. It has a goal to supply one million homes and is building new projects across the UK to meet demand.
