Ellis Brigham and Ecotricity protect the Great Outdoors 2 June 2003 In a daring show of commitment senior management from Ellis Brigham and Ecotricity's MD abseiled down Ecotricity's famous 67m wind turbine at Swaffham in Norfolk yesterday. Over 150 people also took part in the jump in aid of Cancer Research. Ecotricity is offering homeowners the opportunity to switch to green electricity, at the same price as normal electricity - by matching the price of the local electricity supplier in each region. Ecotricity is the only electricity company in the UK dedicated to building new green energy capacity and ploughs all its profits back into building new green energy. The Company also has a goal to supply one million homes and is building new projects across the UK to meet demand. Dale Vince, managing director of Ecotricity comments, "This partnership is important because it makes the link between outdoor pursuits such as hill walking, ice climbing and skiing and the effect on these sports by climate change. We are offering a simple way of reducing harmful emissions which cause climate change to ensure that these activities are enjoyed in the future." Ecotricity will be making a donation to charity for every customer of Ellis Brigham who switches to their green electricity. Mark Brigham of Ellis Brigham explains, "We all enjoy the outdoors and this simple, clean and affordable alternative will make sure that Ellis Brigham customers can play their part in sustaining the environment. We're proud to be associated with this extremely worthwhile venture."
