ABSEIL-UTELY AMAZING AMOUNT!

Ecotricity's MD, Dale Vince The sun shone on Saturday (31st May) as one hundred and seventy brave people from Norfolk abseiled a staggering 220ft down the Ecotricity wind turbine in Swaffham.

The first brave soul down on the day, was cancer survivor, Mr Martin Alderton from Hingham. His family watched from the base as he fearlessly zipped down the turbine.
"I was really quite nervous about the abseil leading up to the day but once I got to the top there was no stopping me and I really enjoyed the challenge," said Martin.

A fantastic sum of £31,000 was made on the day. Helen Wood, events organiser for Cancer Research UK remarks, "The event was such a huge success for the charity and special thanks must go to Ecotricity for allowing us to run the event at the turbine."

Mr Dale Vince, Managing Director of Ecotricity also took part in the event. "We are delighted that our dedication to building new sources of green energy has directly helped Cancer Research to raise vital funds. The event was a great success and has helped to increase awareness for both organisations."
