Thunderbirds are Go with Eco-Power 6th March 2001 The company's concern for the environment and Ecotricity's commitment to conventional electricity prices means that Ormiston Wire are saving the environment over 19 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide emissions each year at no extra cost to the firm. Founded in 1793 Ormiston Wire is currently managed by the sixth generation of the Ormiston family. Initially making spring wire for corsets and wigs, today Ormiston Wire supplies a range of wiring equipment to the yachting, medicine and film industries. Recently awarded the prestigious ISO 14001 environmental standard, the change to Ecotricity is another step being made by Ormiston Wire in their ongoing commitment to the environment.
